This is 2013 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 ABS. This bike combines the best technology from the worlds of supersports and racing supermotards. The result is a distillation of performance and technology, a special, extreme, and elite motorcycle that is capable of elevating its rider to motorcycling excellence. The lightweight, agile, and powerful Dorsoduro 750 is driven by a new generation of engine incorporating the most advanced technical solutions found on any bike of its kind.
The engine is fitted with a 750 cc, V90 four-stroke longitudinal, 90° V-twin engine, liquid cooled, double overhead camshafts with mixed gear/chain timing system, four valves per cylinder. Bike engine also used injection with Ride by Wire throttle opening management and triple mapping, ignition used digital electronic ignition integrated with injection system. Its can produce a maximum power of 92 hp at 8750 rpm and 82 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. The engine is mounted on Aprilia’s unique mixed trellis and aluminium frame which gives it superior handling abilities.
The 2013 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 ABS features a second generation electronic throttle with Tri-Map selectable triple mapping. Three performance modes, Sport, Touring and Rain, can be selected from a switch on the handlebars (with the throttle closed for safety reasons). Sport mode gives you aggressive instant power; Touring mode gives you a smoother action, better suited to relaxed long distance riding; and Rain mode gives you ultimate safety slippery surfaces. The Tri-Map electronic throttle also means smoother, more consistent power thanks to more accurate and precise throttle control based on parameters including engine speed, gear selection, air flow, throttle position and temperature.
For suspension 2013 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 ABS used multi-adjustable Sachs upside-down fork with Ø 43 mm diam in front and aluminium alloy swingarm Gas-operated shock absorber with piggy back, with adjustable spring preload and compression and rebound damping in rear. Its offers adjustments for spring preload and rebound damping.
The front breaks consist of advanced 4-piston radial calipers which bite 320 mm floating wave discs offering a short stopping time. For extra safety, the bike is also fitted with a sophisticated 2 channel Continental ABS system. In the rear incorporate another wave disc, 240 mm in diameter this time, plus a single piston caliper. Both the front and rear brakes are fitted with aeronautical type metal braided brake lines to eliminate the sponginess associated with conventional rubber hoses and to deliver maximum braking precision.
